The Recruiter/Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for successfully completing all assigned recruitments utilizing approved recruiting strategies to identify, recruit and place qualified candidates while ensuring compliance with company policy and employment laws and regulations. Must be able to demonstrate excellent negotiation, communication, and problem solving skills in a fast-paced business environment. In order to be successful the Recruiter/Sourcing Specialist must exhibit the following capabilities:
  • Demonstrated success using various sourcing techniques to find candidates for hard to fill positions, and able to command the attention and respect of senior level executives.
  • Use sourcing tools and techiques such as online social netowrking, traditional networking, referrals and Boolean searches to identify candidates.
  • Experienced using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS's) and other recruiting and HRIS systems. 
  • Well developed employee selection skills.  You'll need more than the ability to follow an interview process and ask the standard questions.  You'll need to demonstrate how you sought out the necessary information, interpreted the candidate's answers, and observed non-verbal information in order to differentiate top talent from the rest of the pack. 
  • Package candidates for submittal to hiring managers and/or pipelining. 
  • Proven success at recruiting trades people, manufacturing and logistics experts, engineers and other highly skilled professionals.
  • The ability to work successfully with hiring managers and other employees to assure candidates are properly vetted, evaluated and hired.  This also includes the ability and willingness to share your skills to train hiring managers and others to effectively screen, select and hire great employees.
  • Proven ability to learn and apply "new" technology or new tools to source and identify job candidates.  Ownership of your own professional development is critical. 
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to effectively cold call and develop talent networks are key differentiators for this position.  The industry we are a part of is relatively small and the skill sets we seek often fall within specialties that do not come from large pools of potential candidates.  
  • High degree of business acumen and critical thinking - ability to quickly understand and represent job requirements/KPIs.  We operate in a highly matrixed organization and support separate and distinct businesses. 
  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to exceed goals with minimal supervision and good business sense.
  • Expertise in the recruitment life cycle with strong skills in relationship buiilding, critical thinking and verbal/written communications. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Three years of experience in Recruiting.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/industrial/engineering environment a plus.
  • College/Campus recruiting a plus.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations as they relate to resourcing, recruiting and hiring employees.
  • Outstanding multi-tasking and presentation skills.
  • Strong commitment to problem resolution, confidentiality and team building.
  • Ability to interpret and assist in implementing key business drivers/strategies and their relationship to recruiting strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to effectively work, communicate and collaborate within a highly matrixed, geographically-dispersed organization.
  • Proficiency with Success Factors or other ATS and HRIS systems.
  • Use of general office equipment (personal computer, keyboard, copy and fax machines).

  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and stay updated on latest trends, techiques and skills related to scoial media and recruiting.
  • Possess self-study capabilities to continually research social media methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage concurrent searches in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, set goals and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain courteous and professional working relationships.
  • Demonstrate strong drive for results and success; convey a sense of urgency to achieve outcomes and exceed expectations; persist despite obstacles, setbacks and competing influences.
  • Proficient personal computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Ability to source top passive and active candidates
  • Qualify external candidates based upon minimum position requirements 
  • Locate leads and track down referral contact information through the use of social and professional networks and meta-search engines. 
  • Provide "First Contact" to invite leads to apply to our client's career portal and attract additional talent to opportunity using available media. 
  • Prescreen Resumes in ATS and on social media sites as/if assigned; ensuring minimum qualifications are met and the ATS is kept up to date. 
  • Expand social networks via invitations to connect to Talent Community.
  • Reach out to network contacts for referrals 
  • Join applicable groups, post/share jobs to increase visibility
  • Follow up with pipeline candidates via phone and e-mail to keep candidates warm 
  • Reach out to niche sites for free trials; respond to solicitation from account representatives. 
  • Join industry/function-specific organizations/associations/forums for talent mining and posting possibilities 
  • Internet research utilizing search engines, metasearch, Company sponsored tools and sites, Company approved and available social networking sites and available tools.
