Job Description
The Business Process Developer (BPD) will apply process improvement and best practice principles to design and propose new or revised processes to achieve key business objectives across the PPE organization in a more efficient and effective manner.  The BPD conducts business analysis efforts across Project Proposals and Execution (PPE) operations with an emphasis on process creation procedural refinement, functional alignment and solutions design.
  • Conducts business analysis using internal data as well as external sources to measure the effectiveness of both current operations and potential future processes.
  • Works with matrixed cross-functional teams and process owners to design a future-state business process that is strategically aligned and is efficient and effective at achieving operational goals.
  • Leads and facilitates process workshops and discovery sessions to analyze processes and drive solutions development, outcomes and decisions
  • Constructs process flow diagrams that capture end-to-end business processes and demonstrate the inputs, outputs of a process and illustrate the various process activities and their interrelationships
  • Defines practical reporting methods, channels and formats for employees
  • Represents PPE in cross-functional projects involving the design, configuration or deployment of diverse initiatives across all areas of the business including Market Areas, Technology, Global Supply Chain, IT, Legal, Finance and others.
  • Creates detailed and comprehensive project plans to ensure that projects are achieved on time and with broad adoption
  • Serves as subject matter expert for operational processes providing training, communications and support when necessary.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or other discipline with related business process experience.
  • 5 – 10 years of previous experience in finance, operations or business analysis within multi-national business organizations like Metso
  • High proficiency in key continuous improvement methodologies and associated Lean, Six Sigma and Project Management tools
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes
  • Strong analytical skills with understanding of financial effects of business process transactions
  • Detail oriented and organized with ability to prioritize work and manage competing schedules.
  • Proficient IT systems capabilities, including knowledge of SAP,, MS Office and other business applications
  • Demonstrated experience in project change management and the ability to lead projects
  • Good facilitation, communication, collaboration and general problem-solving skills
  • Proactive working habits and can-do attitude
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of working days
