JOB STATEMENT
Develop and manage the operational procurement functions of the Waukesha site, specifically the operational procurement strategy and operational execution, to ensure excellent customer service.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Has overall responsibility for purchase order execution, including problem resolution, expediting and delivery management
  • Leads implementation of global procurement initiatives and E-procurement at the site level (autoPO, P4T, etc.)
  • Supplier performance monitoring and operative cooperation development
  • Availability management for spares & wears according to required performance and towards agreed goals in customer satisfaction, profitability, growth and capital efficiency
  • Inventory value and healthiness management
  • DC Strategy implementation and follow-up to operative purchasing functions
  • Report and analyze operative purchasing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) on an agreed, timely basis
  • Lead and motivate all Operative Purchasing team persons (4-5 direct reports)
    • To secure right skills level and adequate resources
    • To set individual targets
    • To conduct annual development interviews
  • Coordinate and participate in communications between vendors and internal departments as necessary to resolve procurement issues, both technical and systematic   
  • Conduct all business transactions consistent with Global Procurement Policies, Metso policies, procedures & guidelines, legal requirements, regulations & standards and appropriate ethical standards

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years working experience in Global Mining (or) equivalent Industry
  • Ability to work with global Metso team and global suppliers
  • English language reading and speaking skills at a professional level. Spanish language competence a benefit
  • Strong customer focus with ability to balance quality, delivery and price equation
  • Strong knowledge of the business functions of sales, supply, engineering, finance, human resources, business systems and IT infrastructure
