Summary

The StoneL Field Sales Manager develops and manages distribution channels, provides sales and service support, develops corporate specifications with key end-users and consulting firms and generally grows sales and margin dollars for StoneL Products throughout their region.  The position requires  extensive overnight travel.  Candidates with successful sales and distribution management experience and demonstrated technical instrumentation competence within the process markets will be considered first. Familiarity with computer use and contemporary electronic communications mediums is a must.  The position offers a base salary and performance based commission, company car allowance, and a competitive benefits package

 

Responsibilities

  • Maximize Sales & Margins for StoneL Throughout Territory
  • Manage and Develop StoneL Distribution Channels Throughout the Territory
  • Provide Sales and Service Support to Distribution Channel and OEMs
  • Develop Corporate Specifications with end-users and A&E firms
  • Participate in Regional and National Trade Shows and Trade Associations
  • Assist in StoneL Warranty Work
  • Provide Feedback on Market Changes, Customer Problems and Product Opportunities to StoneL  
     
Authority
  • Recommends hiring and firing of distribution and OEM channels to RSM
  • Recommends product changes as needed to StoneL Technical Solutions Director
  • Supports warranty and technical support functions as needed
  • Authorized to expense travel needs up to $5,000 per expense month.
 
Skills Needed and Job Requirements
  • Candidate must reside within the region.
  • Capable management and strong interpersonal skills
  • Successful sales experience within the Process markets
  • Successful sales experience with Instrumentation equipment
  • Minimum of 5 years of Channel Distribution Management experience
  • Competence with computer use and application of technical products
  • Capable and eager to learn about new technologies
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent communicator (oral and written)
  • Physical Sciences degree desirable
