Injection Mold Operator

Job Description
This position is responsible for operating an injection mold machine for the purpose of manufacturing synthetic panels for screening media.  
•Operates a mold machine to manufacture synthetic panels for screening media.
•Responsible for assembling molds and pin packs for producing the products.
•Sets up the computer to ensure inventory control numbers are cast into the panels for final labeling and inventory control. Controls the product mixtures for material being manufactured.
•Reads blue prints and drawings to fabricate panels per desired specifications. Analyzes specifications and determines tooling, applying knowledge of machine properties, machining and shop mathematics.
•Ensures achievement of adequate production levels and keeps are clean and in order.
•Maintains records and prepares legible reports, records production downtime and correction action logs.
•Monitors machine during the production process to ensure quality and to troubleshoot potential production problems.
•Inspects the final product and manually trims the panel with a sharp object (knife like tool) to ensure proper size.
•Stacks finished panels for inventory.
•Performs minor troubleshooting on the injection press. Coordinates with maintenance personnel for more difficult production problems to ensure machine is operational.
•Ensures all processes are carried out with the required use of safety and environmental controls.
•Performs other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Work in a manufacturing and/or factory environment.  
•Be flexible and available to interact with other departments internally.
•Be self-directed and motivated.
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
•Must be able to move through shops and field environments.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
•Visual acuity is required to read and produce accurate materials.
•High School diploma
•Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
•Ability to operate and troubleshoot production machinery.
